They are the absolute greatest. We love them much but all would be frenchie owners should realize that these animals are special and require lots of love and attention. If you want a dog to throw in your back yard, to protect your home, or to be placed on a shelf until you are ready to play with them, this is not the dog for you. They are great company and enjoy being with you. The key to this is that they enjoy it all the time. Although my dogs are show dogs and have been crate trained sinced birth, meaning this is where they enjoy sleeping and where they enjoy going when I am not at home or when it is not an appropriate time to run loose (such as when we are having quests, ect....)They seriously desire and need to be loved and attended to. It is also important to tend to their health as they do and will have health issues, they may require a special diet (which can be expensive), and owners must always use care when allowing them outside play as weather (whether too hot or too cold) is extremely an important element to their life.
