One of the biggest and probably the most difficult challenge most dog owners have to face when it comes to training dogs is potty training their beloved dog. If you have had a few dogs in the past then you know potty training dogs is something that can be easy and difficult depending on the situation and the dog you have to deal with.

A dog that knows it must not go to the bathroom just when they want is certainly a great pet to have to have as a friend. But at the same time, you may be unlucky to deal with the stubborn type that visits the bathroom just when they want to. Fortunately for you, there are some things that can be done that can help make the process easier than imagined. Here are some tips on Potty Training puppies

Create A Sense of Duty or Routine

What most dogs need when it comes is to a how to potty puppies establish a sense of routine for him or her. For example, if you take four walks with your dog or puppy in a day, make sure they go to the bathroom in the middle of the walk. Praise them when they do this without giving you any problem or problems whatsoever. You may also give them food treats.

There are so many other ways you can create a sense of duty or routine. Let them go outside as soon as you wake up, go to bed, before dinner, etc. That way your dog will know what is OKAY by you and they wont have to panic if they have to go outside.

Understand Your Dog’s Signals

Your dog will most always give you signals when they want to use the bathroom. Decoding the signals is very essential when it comes to potty training puppies. If you misinterpret any of these signals, the implication could be that they go to the bathroom in the house which is definitely not what you want for your dog. It is important to know when it has to go so as to let it outside.

What If The Dog Doesn’t Listen?

Most dogs will not get it initially. This simply means he or she may go to the bathroom in the house when you don’t want them to, leaving a mean for you to get rid of in the bathroom. So, should you hit or yell at them when they mess up? NO! Just get rid of the mess the dog has created and make sure you say nothing more.

Remember they are just learning and it will take some time before they can fully get it. potty training dogs is a very special thing to do and you want to make sure you don’t do anything that will stagnate the process.
