Boxer dog on death row
A boxer dog name Honey currently sits in the Raleigh County animal shelter on what some would call death row. Honey was impounded after two people reported bites from the dog and a third person suffered a broken wrist jumping out of its way.
The dogs owner is attempting to appealing the death sentence, as she claims she didn’t know the dog had been declared dangerous and never met one person who complained.
As a dog owner myself I can not help but to wonder how she would not know anyone had been bitten by her dog. Was the owner neglectful in this case? It is a shame any dog must sit behind bars in an animal shelter, however for the safety of the neighbors, I can understand why the county would impound the dog.
Honey will remain in custody until the appeal has been heard.
